My HA-07WD Works Too Well - All On turns on switches I don't want turned on

When I press the All On button on my Wayne Dalton HA-07WD controller it turns on every Vera controlled Z-wave switch in my house. The problem is one of these switches controls my garage door opener as part of the garage door plug-in. So every time I press All On button, my garage door opens. I do not want All On to control the garage door opener, hence may question: Is it possible to set a variable on a binary switch so that a HA-07WD On All signal does not affect it?

I do not believe this situation existed with earlier versions of the Vera firmware, but it does happen with the latest firmware.

I have one other question, does anyone understand how the HA-07WD All On signal functions? Is the HA-07WD sending a signal to my Vera3 unit, which then the Vera 3 unit issues the All On command, or is the HA-07WD sending the signal directly to the switches?

I’d expect the HA07WD to send out the All On command on its own. Each device (that supports this feature, in full) can be configured to respond to All On, All Off, both or neither.

I believe for some this can also be configured through configuration parameters. If not for your device, you can try to configure it by manually sending it the proper command. See this post for a reference.

(Note: the AOO is plug-in is not available anymore, but this post has the line of code to configure your device.)
