Hi everyone,
In the video, I see that MicasaVerde is interfacing with all other z-wave devices using a USB stick like device. Is this a must?
Here is an exmaple: http://lmcecompatible.com/#!/~/product/category=2448173&id=2269651
If not, how can I for example interface a switch to micasaverde?
thanks
The video shows the Vera 1. This is an old video.
Thanks. So, VeraLite or Vera3 do not need a USB Interface? I am looking to hook up 2 floors, 19 switches together in a 1500 sq feet. Would all be picked up by Vera directly? or do I have to move Vera close to the switch to program it?
Thanks
Vera Lite and Vera 3 have a z-wave chip built into them. You would install the switch into their locations and include them into Vera. You should perform a network heal once Vera is in it’s main location. You should be fine with one Vera. For best results try and locate Vera into a central location. The more devices you add into the z-wave network, the more reliable it becomes with mesh networking.

You can move the Vera close to each installed device using battery. Then you can put it into Include mode to configure.
Hope this helps…
Also, you can try high power inclusion, with both Vera and the device to be included in their permanent locations.
