Multiple restarts (20-30) /day Log review help UI7

The last time I had multiple restarts causing performance issues, the forum solved it in a matter of hours. (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,30878.msg226967.html#msg226967) This is what keeps me on VERA.

I need some help again. Getting restarts, here is the log before the latest:

Is it the generic IP camera? Thoughts? Uninstall pending group opinions.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Just so it is eliminated as cause; my memory seems ok; see attached

Plex?

I had similar problem resently on VeraLite UI5.
Removed the Ergy plugin and the restarts stopped.

Yes, but removed.

I think it is aligned with a Pleg trigger. The restarts only happen when triggers occur. I was away for a few days and only had a few restarts on those days, all related to schedule triggers. Most of the volume of restarts are align with motion and door triggers.

Latest log attached

The way I read it, you’re getting a LuaUPnP reloads due to a ring buffer issue. The ring buffer is for cameras and is used to hold the previous x seconds or frames from the camera.
Snippet of entries suspicious to me:

Are you feeding Vera an HD stream(s), as against an SD stream? That could be a lot for a Vera Lite. I’d recommend trying without camera recording/archiving, as well as eliminating any active camera streaming through Vera to tablets, phones… Then see if you still experience restarts.

Thank you. The cameras may be the issue.

I just recently re-added my cameras. In UI7 I can not find a way to stop the recording. I was not recorded via vera in UI5. I don’t think the recording is working in UI7 as I see them in my Alerts listing, but the images always error out.

I am using two old Panasonic with panasonic plug in; added them as generic. Config screens attached:

I have been involved with many post being negative on having cameras in VERA. I have since removed all my cameras and now use them externally in my vera apps vs. in the vera itself. I think it relieved alot of pressure from VERA. Others have had good luck with cameras.

Yes, but removed.
Removed the Vera Plex plugin?

Or removed the Plex server?

Apparently, the DLNA service and packets put out on the network by the Plex server itself cause issues with Vera.

Blocking DLNA on my Plex server reduced the number of Vera reboots significantly.

It still reboots/restarts. But much less than before.

Update: (I’ve been busy @ work and play)

I disabled PLEX Server on PC - Restarts continued.

I opened a ticket with verbose logging. Support indicated that an Aeon smart switch was flooding the zwave network and to change the report interval. - Restarts lessened, but still persistent. - Going to increase further. Stay tuned (if anyone interested) for further updates.
