Motorized Deadbolt with Lever Options

I recently purchased the Schlage Link Lever system FE599 for the front door, and I realized I have to add a deadbolt to the lever system. That means for remote unlock/lock, I have to add a motorized z-wave deadbolt. This setup becomes really cumbersome. Does anyone know a good solution to this? Thx

Yep - the proper solution is that the deadbolt should be motorized/automated, not the secondary lock. You really need to replace your Schlage FE599 with a standard keyed lever - unless of course, you want BOTH locks on the door to be separately motorized and automated - which as you note is really cumbersome.

I put the motorized lever on the garage door and went with a motorized deadbolt for the front door.
