Motorised TV lift RF Help.

I have a Venset TS1000a TV lift that comes with a learning remote control with two buttons (up and down). Each button does what it says in the tin, press up and TV starts lifting up.

I would like to include this TV lift in my VeraPlus, and think I can control this via the rfxtrx433e. I can’t work out how to do this. Has anyone tried this or can anyone advise on how I do this?

Here is the link to the RF device connected to the lift. http://www.venset.com/Text/DownloadFile.aspx?file=../Files/Documents/Mounting-instructions-remote-control-1.pdf

I suppose I need to know how to get the VeraPlus to learn to code to send to control the lift.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Interesting project.

If it were me I would use an external power supply of the proper voltage and amperage to operate the lift and use a pair of SPDT form C relays to activate raise and lower functions, There is a plug-in for Vera that will operate the ETH008 relay. I use it to operate my water valves and it works quite well.

just an alternative

Vera plus will not learn the code as it does speak in that RF. Your going to have to search RFXCOM and programming to get those two to talk to each other. Now your manual doesn’t even say what RF frequency and such that is working on but google did show that it was the 433mhz.

I don;t know if you already have an RFXCOM but at 100.00 if you have no other use for it I think you can even wire up a mimo or other z-wave relays to the buttons on your remote to simulate a button press. People do this already on newer garage doors that have rolling codes and such. This guy did it on a remote key fob to start his car.

Anyways this may give you some other options if you don’t want to spend 100 on the rfxcom and deal with programming.
