I just committed in the trunk ( trunk – RFXtrx Gateway ) an enhancement that allows to manage motion sensors and door sensors using AC protocol.
At first usage of the sensor, a switch device will be created. Open the tab Settings in the plugin device and you will discover two new buttons: “AC Motion Sensor” and “AC Door Sensor”. Fill the fields “Remote id” and “Unit code” with the values extracted from your switch device and then push one of the two new buttons. Wait for the Vera reload. Refresh your Web browser and then you will have a working motion or door sensor.
If the switch device has value “LS/L2.0/0000001/05” for the altid variable, 0000001 is the remote id and 05 is the unit code.
I am waiting for a feedback before releasing a new version of the plugin.
If users are intersted by the same feature for others equipments not using AC protocol, let me know.
If you are running the version alpha 10 of the plugin, please note that only 4 files require to be updated: D_RFXtrx.json, I_RFXtrx.xml, L_RFXtrx.lua and S_RFXtrx.xml.
For information, it was added for Blyss protocol too.
If you want door or motion sensors for devices supported by the RFXtrx and using another protocol than AC and Blyss, just ask me.
Just got a switch (light switch) when first powered BLYSS exterior motion sensor 582861 but then did not see the two buttons in the configuration tab :-[
must be doing something wrong…
Buttons are in the settings tab of the main plugin device, at the bottom.
OK. For that device altid is LS/L6.0/05A7/I1
So I suppose Remote Id is 05A7 but not sure what Group code is as well as Unit code
Actually just realised that I do not have motion and door sensors buttons at the bottom of the tab settings of RFX main device. I am running alpha 10. Is there something I am missing?
Thanks
OK figured it out by up loading missing luup alpha 11 files. Running fine now for that particular sensor. Thanks again for that great plugin
Just to give you feedback I also integarted a CHACON 54581 (DI O). It went fine with the AC Door Sensor Button, but I CANNOT see the door opening (icon) when it is trigerred ; yet scenes are working with that trigger. Also It does not report battery status but it might be because it is not a zwave device?
Finally I tried to incorporate a CHACON 54755 light switch (DI O) but it does not seem to be auto-detected. Is there something special with this one?
Cheers

Group is a letter from A to P.
Unit is a number from 1 to 5.
So group is I and unit code is 1.
Try to refresh your browser cache.

It is not an information reported by the RFXtrx.

Try using your remote close to the RFXtrx.
thanks, refreshing the cache does not seem to do anything. the door still does not open, the triggers do not report but work in scenes.
second I do not have a remote, is there a way to create the right chacon light switch without it?
went too fast in the precedent post. switching to safari (ipad) does the trick and now chacon door icon is opening so it is working. still does not have the remote though. :
For the light switch, use the same screen you used for converting your door sensor device but this time fill any remote I’d and unit code and push button AC switch. Then do the usual AC pairing using the ON button of the created device.
Thanks. I bought a remote today (together with three DI O plugs was a pretty deal). It went without a glitch with it and now everything is working fine (including my DI O) plugs. When the light switch is actually created you don’t need to do anything more as was already noted (but maybe change the name…)
Thanks again, was not able to fault your plugin…
Hi Lolodomo,
I created a simple scene using a BLYSS motion sensor activating a DI-O wall plug. I used PLEG plugin to do that. Then I de-installed the plug-in but for some reason the scene is still active. Would it have anything to do with the sl_SceneActivated and sl_SceneDeactivated numbers of the associated remote devices?
Thanks

No.
Maybe something relative to PLEG ?
Hi Lolodomo.
I see that you have added Door Sensor and Motion Sensor to the AC protocol in the latest trunk (Alpha 11?). Any possibility of doing same for LWRF protocol please? Thanks in advance.
For the LWRF devices, the plugin always creates 2 devices (switch and mood). Is there an option to disable (delete or hide) one or the other? Sometimes I want mood control (for multi-button remote controls), and other times I want a simple switch (or sensor). Perhaps this could be accomplished by inputting the Remote ID and Unit Code and pressing the appropriate option?
Kindest regards.
EDIT: After updating to the latest alpha and deleting some old LWRF devices, I see that they now come back as a Mood Scene controller (no switches). This is perfect for my multi-button LWRF devices.
I haven’t yet tried it with single binary sensors like door sensors, so will report results back later.

Yes, I can do it.

The switch device is created only if you push ON or OFF button. A “group off” or mood command will produce no switch device.
I just committed in the trunk ( trunk – RFXtrx Gateway ) an enhancement that allows to manage motion sensors and door sensors using ARC or LightwaveRF protocol.
So the mechanism to get motion or door sensors is now available for these protocols:
My commit includes the management of AC window cover device too (fensoft’s contrib).
LWRF devices working well for me with door sensor and motion sensor configurations. Thanks for the code update.
One thing I noticed is that conversion seems to replace the existing device with a new one with a default device name into no room. Worth keeping in mind if you convert a device and wonder where the heck it went
