Monoprice Hank RGB - Alexa color control not recognized

Bought two RBG z-wave bulbs on-sale at monoprice. Manufacturer in Hank in China. They work fine on Vera; not the best bulbs, but kids like them in their room.

However, they really want to use their echo dots. The issue is Echo does not recognize the bulb and color. (See screen shot)

Going to try Amazon… but checking here too… anyone seen this? Resolve this?

I?m sorry Alexa isn’t discovering your smart home device(hank zwave RGB LED bulb) using the “Vera control” skill.

From what you described, device manufacturer will be in the best position to help.

Here are some additional tips that may help:

  • Make sure your smart home device is compatible with Alexa. You can learn more about compatible devices at: Smart Home Devices & Systems.

  • Download the companion app for your smart home device to set it up. Refer to the user guide for the device or the manufacturer’s website if you need help finding the app. After your device is set up and working with the companion app, you can link the device to Alexa.   • Download and install any available software updates for your smart home device before trying to link it to Alexa.

  • Connect your smart home device to the same Wi-Fi network as your Alexa device. This helps Alexa discover your device.

Any luck with getting Alexa to work with the Hank RGB bulb from monoprice? I’m currently having the same issue :frowning:
