MiLight/Easybulb/LimitlessLED Plugins

Hi @intveltr,
The hue setting is exactly the same as for the MiLightCU plugin we discussed a while back. The action is:
urn:dcineco-com:serviceId:MiLightRGBW1 SetHue newHue = <0-255>
The action to set white is: urn:dcineco-com:serviceId:MiLightRGBW1 SetWhiteMode
Thanks for that. Does the plugin also report the current mode (white / RGB)? That would make it easy to support this in HomeWave.
It does indeed. The variable “urn:dcineco-com:serviceId:MiLightRGBW1”, “Mode” holds the current state. White=0, RGB=1 and Disco=2.

I am waiting for 12w LEDs … then we might have some good illumination.

I quite agree. I’m all for saving energy but, at my age, I need all the light I can get. ;D
got my 12w Ceiling Lights [ Limitless gonna have them soon i guess  ]
now running (postet the daylight comparision photo in the “what did you do” thread already and forgot about here.)

the lamps are quite bright … have Color range from 2700 - 5000 k (just like the bulbs i guess)

but due to the reflector they flood the room at large. (the picture is taken with just 1 Lamp in the center (i replaced it with the ugly round 36w Neon lamps, which i deeply hate … the buzzing of the ballast and the neon flicker drives me crazy all day)

so this is a huge improovement.

i was told that they do require a V3 bridge,
well i did not get the bridge to work in the first 5 minutes with the ios app. so i gave it a try and Bingo ! … works like a charm on the old bridge as well.
so no need to get another one.

the lights come with Spring Clips to mount them … on a normal gipsum ceiling they are VERY hard to remove !!
the springs are so strong they easy destroy the gipsum.

and the Cooling on the backside has small holes to the top. so dust gets easy inside and show on the half Transparent plastic cover.
besides that, they work like a charm.

the radio strenght is alot less than on the bulbs (i had to move the Bridge about 10 meters closer to make them work)

anything else is just like with all the other bulbs.

Thanks for the news @nullx8. It’s good that they work on the old bridge and with MiLightWU1.

Is the new RGBW plugin also to be used with the MiLight RGB and White with adjustable color temperature?

At the moment each type of lamp requires a different plugin: MiLightWU1 for White, iLightCU1 for RGB and MiLightRGBW for RGB+W. I do plan to investigate the possibility of a single plugin for all lamp types but that is not without challenges as they each behave differently.

RexBeckett,

Ordered on October 2, I received 2 of the RGB+W bulbs, V3 bridge, & remote yesterday. Shipped from New Zealand on Oct 6 and arrived at my door in the US in 6 days (not too bad).

I installed your plugin per your instructions, and everything works well. Thank you for your hard work.

I haven’t decided where I am going to use them, so for now I have both bulbs in a 2 fixture floor lamp in my living room. The only problem I see is that my kids installed the milight app on their iDevices, and my living room is in constant “disco mode” ::slight_smile:

Thanks again,

Chris

Thanks for the feedback, Chris. I’m glad it is all working.

Yes - that could drive you mad quite quickly. If you haven't locked-out the bridge from the internet, they could also do it while they're out. ;D

I have a million luup calls anywhere to reset the lamps to the conditions i want them to be if turned on, for exactly that reason

Most reset action happens on the sunrise scene called by daynight.
Putting the whole house in a “mood” because all the lamps take a few sec to do it

(Also resetting some dimmed lights as they most used by static switches)

Hi Rex,
Think the files for MiLightWU1 is wrong? The both download links for MiLightWU1 and MiLightCU1 will send you to download MiLightCU1 files.

Was trying for the life of me to get my white LED to work only to realize I download CU instead of WU.

Thanks Rex! =)

Oops. I uploaded the wrong zip. ::slight_smile: Sorry about that. You should get the right files now.

Thanks!

Have a question, is there anyway I can get another z-wave switch to turn a milight by associations? Or I have to create a scene to do that? Was trying to trigger a Milight with a Fibaro S2 and realised that I can’t. Any work arounds?

Associations only work with other Zwave devices that support it. You’ll have to use a scene with the switch being a trigger. To have it works reliably you’ll want a switch that supports instant status.

Hi,

I have the RGBW LED Bulbs. I cannot seem to locate an app to control the bulbs using my iPad. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the quick reply. My brother has a 4th gen iPad running iOS 7.03 but when he is searching for ‘milight’ in the Apple apps store, but there are no results appearing.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

N.B. When searching on the iPhone 5 running iOS 7 - it picks it up OK and is available to download.

Sorry, I don’t understand the subtleties of iOS versions. The app only requires basic network facilities so I would have thought it would work on any iGadget. Try downloading it from here.

That is absolutely perfect!!

Thank you very much for your help!!

Much appreciated.

Probably selected “iPad only”
Its not a native iPad app so you will need to select one top left “iPone & iPad” or iPhone only

Is there anyway that I can download the iOS application from the above website for myself?

I have downloaded the Android version.

Many thanks.

Hi,

Just a quick question. Where is the best place for me to download the Milight application for Android and iOS. I would like to give my customers the ability to download it directly from my website if possible.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
