I’ve seen a few people on the Homeseer forum mention using a Aeotec Micro Switch or a Remotec ZFM-80 as a hard-wired door/window sensor. Simply hook up an external contact to the switch inputs on either device and you have a door sensor that’s easy to hide and that never requires new batteries.
Have any Vera users tried this? If so, were you able to trick Vera into thinking the device was a sensor rather than a switch?
