MiCasaVerde support of Ecobee Thermostat since Ecobee private API Release

I don’t know if this is public knowledge or not, but Ecobee has recently (like this week) released their beta API for a group of invitees (I got an invite because I requested the API some time ago on the Ecobee Google users group).

I’m not a software developer - but I can get around pretty well and managed to get their sample application downloaded and connected to my thermostat.

Basically the architecture of their API is a “node” that you start up on a local computer and then you put in localhost in a browser and their sample application gives you some basic controls from the browser.

I’d love to embed control of the Ecobee into my MiCasaVerde implementation, but I’m, sadly, not the right person to do that. Anyone else on here involved in the API release for Ecobee?

I expect to have a Vera plugin for the ecobee thermostat implemented here pretty soon (a few weeks or less hopefully).
