I bought one about a year ago, was really disappointed when it didn’t work with Vera. Guaranteed compatibility? Micasaverde - not our fault, doesn’t apply etc.
Anyway, with ui 2 I got two of the buttons working by associating it with the light I wanted to control.
Tonight for some reason it stopped working. I’ve excluded and re included it, it appears in the ui but won’t configure. 4 hours later and half two in the morning, im giving up.
this problem is known and it seems that accountability is of Merten (which did not respond at information request) but it seems that there is also a responsibility in granting the trademark for products Zwave not interoperable.
This is my last email sent on 03/03/2011 to Merten and c/c to Sdesigns:
Hi, some time I have purchased the products Merten Connect series to include them in my zwave network but this is not possible for the following products:
509 519 220 -Argus
506,004 (4 Gang)
I also asked several times to explain this at your representative contact for Italy in but do not get respond from December 2010.
As explained , the problem is the compatibility of some your product (Zwave marked) with other product Zwave standard .
I used the Micasaverde Vera2 system for controll Zwave device.
I’ve purchased many Merten Connect product because present into a e-commerce store under voice “Zwave product”
After several research, testing and consultation forums, is revealed that the products 509 519 220 -Argus and 506,004 (4 Gang) do not respect the standard communication protocol and yet have the brand “Zwave”. How is this possible?
I am also waiting for an answer to this question by a representative of Zwave alliance (that reads us a copy) .
