Memory Leak? Eating 150-200K every second or two

I noticed since getting Vera a few days ago that my Internet Explorer had locked up several times, or was simply unresponsive for 20-45 seconds at a time.

I opened IE with just a local connection to Vera, and I see the memory usage go up by 150-200K every couple of seconds. I have seen the usage go as high as 450 MB a couple of times and over 800 MB once. Obviously, the longer Vera sits open, the greater the memory usage.

Anyone else experiencing this? I am running IE 7 with all the latest updates, under Vista (32-bit) with SP1. My Vera software version is the 523 release.

Thanks,
David

Trivia: In the time it took me to type this note, Vera sucked up just over 24 MB of additional memory.

I just checked, and the same thing occurs in Chrome, as well.

Not surprisingly, everything snaps on the screen in Chrome compared to IE, too. I have not tried Vera with IE 8.

D.

We’re investigating this memory leak in IE. Hopefully we’ll have a fix on the next release.

I am seeing the same in IE6 and FF3.0.6
