I am new in this game but so far so good 
I have a Vera plus and a scene that should turn of some lights when it is daytime. The scene is running but sometimes some of the lights still on. Is it possible to run the scene until all devices have responded OK? I think my problem is that sometimes the devices outside is out of range but i have no errors in dashboard. Maybe i need to get a extender or some more devices.

This is, most likely, a Zwave mesh issue rather than a Vera one, per se.
Your solution to get more devices and generate a denser mesh sounds like the right way to go.
