Magnetic Sensor with Ethernet port ?

Sorry for my bad English.

I have the vera edge gateway, I want to install a magnetic sensor in the garage and a siren, however, the garage stay five floors below, and are only possible to install a sensor with Ethernet port.

Is there a magnetic sensor and siren compatible with Ethernet port with the vera edge?

What other options are there?

I don’t think that kind of an animal is commercially available.

However you should be able to cobble something up using an Arduino board with ethernet shield. There’s a plug in to support Arduino I believe. Check out http://www.mysensors.org/ for more details
