I think my Vera restarts regularly. the way I see it is I have DataMine 2 installed and I am logging the number of variables that DataMine 2 is logging
This variable resets to 0 at around 4:10pm everyday
It also restarts if I add a scene, edit a scene , Pull out the network cable connected to the Vera (or maybe its when I put it in) this shows up as the blue bar with" DataMine 2 running LUUP startup" and other such messages. I also see the datamine number of logged variables drop to zero then - so I interpret that to mean the datamine dropping to zero is also a Luup reload
Is this normal? Is there a better place to look?
I’m fairly certain that triggers which happen at this time are either missed however most of my triggers are persistent - eg if this motion detector is on do this - so they are delayed
The “also restarts” section of your question is pretty normal. Any types of scene edits do trigger a LUUP restart. (not a vera reboot).
Why are you pulling and inserting the network cable? This will at the least trigger a DHCP request which may trigger a LUUP reload to ensure the process captures the new IP address. Thats conjecture as I never felt the need to keep yanking the cable.
ah well I don’t pull the cable anymore -
So when I was looking at resetting that my telstra connection as it drops out regularly I wrote a scene to turn off the power and 10 seconds later turn it back on - the vera not being connected to the power should of been ok
Of course the switch went down so the Vera restarts - and the 10 second delay got cancelled and the power never came back on…
However I have searched the forums and yes … I wonder if the Vera is restarting on a DHCP refresh

I had same issue a whole back... See http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,36135.0.html
If this is indeed the same issue you are facing, you had been pleagued with that issue for months without noticing...
Thanks
I was a little lost in how to get into those logs - However I have something called infoviewer installed - Which I must of installed at some time (I found the forum article about it)
Update … yes…
May 7 16:49:01 MiOS_30002609 cron.info crond[2119]: crond: USER root pid 3439 cmd //usr/bin/mios-service-sync_ergy.sh
And that’s when it restarted , So now I have to find how to remove it
