How do I delete Luup files for reinstallation?
You cant unless you want to SSH in and do it.
If you comfortable with doing this (risky if you dont know what you are doing) then we can help you!
If not then I would just re-upload your plugin files as it will replace the files anyway.
Prob not worth the risk as I am not supremely comfortable. The issue is that I can’t seem to get my DSC alarm to integrate properly. At first I was able to see the state of the sensors, but unable to arm or disarm through a scene. I was trying to do this to enable remote arming and disarming from sq remote. I was encouraged to remove the plugin and reinstall from a wiki page. Once I did this I now can’t see the status of sensors or arm/ disarm through a scene. Don’t know how to proceed. It was also recommended that I delete the old files and reinstall. Thoughts?
Not sure what was going on with your sensors but maybe there was a mix up with what you uploaded!?
So try to just delete the plugin itself with the trashcan icon from the main parent device (if not done already).
Then re-upload the files from here after unzipping them:
http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_dscalarmpanel/changeset/70/tags/0.34-UI5?old_path=%2F&format=zip
This is the latest version (not published), it will fix scene controls also.
You will have to create the device again using the UI5 install instructions here:
I deleted the plugin. Before I uploaded the new files, I noticed that there are still some old files there. Is that an issue?
No thats normal! The plugin and its associated device numbers, however the files always stay.
Just upload the ones from the link I posted and they will all get replaced.
Strangely you are my hero!!! All is right with the world. Thanks so much for the help. I have been playing with this all day. Again, thank you very much!
Hi
Well i’d like to know the path for the files, I have uploaded an ZIP file, I’d like to delete.
and I do dare the SSH deamon…
All uploaded Lua files go into:
[tt] /etc/cmh-ludl/[/tt]
… and they usually have their file extensions augmented with [tt].lzo[/tt], since they get compressed during the upload process.
Hi,
Thanks… That workd fine.
Now all I need is a new firmware to get my Danfoss scripting to work…
