I have updated iPhone and iPad yesterday and now I have the following issues:
iPhone (6 on ios 8.1.2)
A. option “show control buttons” is standard on, this is ok, can be switched off
B. shows white empty blocks in information-only devices, like netatmo devices, dutch smartmeter and powermax alarm panel.
Doesn’t matter if " show control buttons" is ON or OFF it keeps showing strange.
FYI the control buttons itself look good on iPhone.

This comes down to 2 issues with the 8.6 release unfortunately - the empty boxes, and the ipad layout positioning. The boxes were only noticed after 8.6 went in, but have been fixed already with the 8.7 release that is currently with Apple.
The iPad layout I’ve only just noticed, which means the fix won’t be in for 8.7, but, turning off the control boxes on the iPad will hide it properly for 8.7. I’ll have to fix this in 8.8 rather then force a longer wait for fixing it in 8.7 (as Apple takes over a week to re-approve).
Hopefully 8.7 will be out early next week

i was to quick… Now the app doesnt save the setting “Show control buttons” when set to active.
When I close the app the setting is deactivated again.
Once switched on it works fine but then when closing the app and start later again the setting is deactivated again… Bummer.
This behavior is on 8.8.2. And ipad only. On iphone with 8.8.2 it doesnt have this behaviour.

I can’t figure out how to use the “dim” feature using voice control. Assistance please!
I’ve meant to update the FAQ (will do now!) - it requires a “percentage” trigger word. I.e, “turn on kitchen light to 50%”.
i can get it to do 50% but everything else it appends the number “2” to the beginning of the number so 30% looks like "turn on dinning room dimmer 230%. Under that it reads “not a valid percentage”
It looks like the language processor is picking up your accent to mean the “to” as “2”. It’s actually redundant, and ignored as a non-keyword by VeraMate for the natural language recognition. Try not saying “to”, or replacing it with “at” etc.
It works just fine for me with “to”, all percentages are accepted.
That would infer that the word “to” and the number “2” are pronounced differently. Am I a hickerbilly?
My dimming commands e.g. “set living room light to twenty percent”, "increase living room light to fifty percent, “lower living room light to ten percent”. Hope that helps.
You may need to take that up with Nuance heh. Was more referring to pauses/accent inflections that nuance may be picking up on. Actually good point from Kullematz - if you are saying “to-3-0-percent”, or “to-thirty-percent”.
You can even shorten the command, leave “to” and simply say e g. “living room light 20 percent”
