Does anyone know if we will be able to connect the smart hub to Vera? I’d love to have the system turn off the tv when people aren’t home, or tune to the news so that when I turn on the TV, it isn’t on the Disney Channel :stuck_out_tongue:

Unless logitech releases an api for development (don’t hold your breath) or someone reverse engineers the protocol (have not seen anything yet) the answer would be no.

It looks like the hub unit communicates via Wifi & Bluetooth… I suspect figuring out the API calls would not be that difficult unless they encrypt the comms?

And it has a USB port which also would be interesting if it allows comms via USB.

I’m considering getting one to see how it works.

Currently I use EventGhost to automate my Home Theater (and HTPC) setup - since Vera is way to difficult to make a Home Theater controller due to the horrible workflow (automation) engine/UI - but I could foresee the Logitech system replacing what EventGhost does (for me at least). Some basic integration with Vera would be nice but I’m not sure it is necessary for me.
