LIFX use with Vera

Is anyone successfully using Lifx bulbs with Vera? If so, what method are you using and has it been successful? It seems there are several methods to integrate these lights without a plug-in including ImperiHome, Luup code, and 3rd party code. I’m curious if anyone is using these on a day to day basis.

Also, does anyone know if one of the community members are developing an actual plug in?

Thanks!

Anyone?

Seems that many other components can control LIFX bulbs (Logitech, ImperiHome). It would be great to get these into Vera with as few workarounds as possible.

Here’s an existing conversation which you could participate in: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=11873.0

I was looking for something similar to control my lifx lights, so ended up creating lua code to control my lifx lights via scenes on my Veralite. I just posted details and code here: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,36961.msg275597.html#msg275597

Thanks all. Most of the threads on LIFX were in mid 2015 with no new information since then.

Joe’s write up is very nice. I’ll give it a go but I hope we see more “official” support soon.

Don’t rely on it. Most Vera plugins are produced by users who wanted something that addressed their own needs.
