Leviton 4 Scene Controller Sets Lights to Dim instead of On

This is a very strange problem, and I’m hoping to find a bit of guidance.

I have two lamps each plugged into Leviton VRP03-1LW dimming modules.

There are two scenes created for each module - Lamp 1 On, Lamp 1 Off, Lamp 2 On, Lamp 2 Off, intended to be controlled by a Leviton VRCS4-M0Z 4 scene controller. The On scenes are set to change to 100% brightness regardless of the brightness level at the time the lamp was turned off.

Button 1 On is set to Lamp 1 On. Button 1 Off is set to Lamp 1 Off. This works perfectly.

Button 2 On is set to Lamp 2 On. However, when Button 2 is pressed, Lamp 2 comes on to only 50% brightness. Exactly 50%, every time. If I run the scene from the Vera’s web interface, or from the Vera app, it works correctly. This issue is only encountered when running the scene from the Leviton scene controller. Interestingly, I moved the functions to Button 3, and found that now Lamp 2 comes on to only 25% brightness.

Any thoughts? I’m at my wit’s end.

I’ve seen bugs of this type when setting dim levels to 100% from a leviton scene controller. In my experience it behaved like it was “wrapping round” to 0%, so it would turn the light off, but you never know, maybe there are other possibilities. To check this, see what happens if you can set the target level to 90% or 99% (you can do the latter in the advanced editor) instead of 100%.

I recently had the same issue and had to change the button associations from “scene” to “on/off”. I am programming mine with the Vizia RF+ installer tool so not sure where that shows up in what ever software you are using. The way mine is set now, the lights I have in the scene come back to the last state they were in when turned off.

Hello

I’m having problems with this scene controller too
I have the ui7 interface. I have 22 leviton dimmer switch and 8 4 button scene controller. I can control the dimmer but i’m not able to add the 4 button. Is ther a special configuration. I use to have it working on ui5. But since the upgrade it dont.

I try the exclude include set up, and i’m only able to get the name but not the funcionality. My controller is the one with the 4 button on the left, 4 buttons on the right and the dimmer buttons. It ask how many button the controller has. I try 8 but nothing happends. The scenes shows but it dont work.rp

I have the 4 button scene controllers, MCV has advised to not put the dim seeing between 99 to 100 pct or they will not work right.

Anything below 98% will not confuse the firmware… also try setting a 1 second delay before the lighting scene light switches are selected .

Sorry I meant to add a 1 sec delay at the end of the scene, i.e. after you program the light selections etc then add 1 sec delay with nothing after that…
