After nearly giving up, I got the scene controller working. Thumbs up to sgruby!
Here is the thread: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=17251.5;wap2
How responsive is the switch and the LEDs on the switch? I tried @sgruby’s method and it did work. However, there was always a bit of lag especially with the responsiveness of the LEDs. But, later I found that @AgileHumor’s method with faster LED updates was much more responsive. @AgileHumor even posted a video(in that thread) of the switch and LEDs in operation, so you can see exactly how well it works.
@ Z-Waver - I just tried it, literally, less than a second. The loads and LED’s change to green when the load is on. I think my downfall , on trying the other methods, was I tried shortcutting shutting the breaker off, then on after inclusion, so, that step is important.
I’m playing around with a 4 panel Leviton on my UI7 test system (controlling garage only at the moment) and they pair alright.
My 2 panel system is still on UI5, I’ll let you know when I change over in the last few months. Sadly, that won’t be in the next two months at the earliest.
What I learned from the testing, It seems that using Vera scenes instead of other stuff (luup or PLEG) somehow saves the scene on the Switch to give it fairly quick performance.
