Bought some 65w equivalent led bulbs from Costco for the cans in my basement. I’ve got two lights over my couch that I have set to turn on at 10% when running a scene for watching TV. If the lights are already on, everything is fine. If the lights are off though they won’t come on unless I first turn them on and then I can run the scene to dim them to 10%. From the web setup, it doesn’t look like you can set up a single device in a scene to perform two different actions, otherwise I could just set it first to turn on to 100% or whatever percentage worked and then dim it to 10%. Anyone have any suggestions?

Buy better bulbs.

Create your Vera scene to turn the lights on at ~25% and then have a delayed action (1 or 2 seconds) that resets it to 10%.
Check to see if your dimmer has a feature to do this. My Coopers have a feature called Rapid Start that will momentarily increase the dim level then drop it to the desired level.
Rapid Start is unique to Cooper.
That’s really too bad. I guess it’s another reason to continue to use them. I tried the Leviton’s and couldn’t get over the single button toggle. Top is on – bottom is off…forward is fast – back is slow…back on the stick is up – forward for too long is terra firma. That’s how it has always been.
You do realize that the Coopers (which I have several in my house, along with Levitons) are also single button toggle? It doesn’t matter whether you push from the top, bottom or middle of the switch to toggle light on or off. It’s just one electrical contact built into the button.
Uhh… go figure. Never tried it that way. That just proves my point. Not pressing the top of the switch is just unnatural of biblical proportions. In the immortal words of Dr. Peter Venkmen its like “dogs and cats living together.”

Creating scenes in UI5[/quote]
After $8 instant utility rebate at Costco, the led’s were only $6/each. Not bad for 65w equivalent dimmable floods I thought.
I was able to figure out how to use the “Manage Delays” dropdown in UI5 to create immediate and 5 second delay actions which should solve my problem(at work now so can’t test). In UI7 it didn’t appear this was possible because once you have selected a device it is no longer available in the “Add Action” device dropdown list. I did see that I could create a delayed action and select a different device, save it and then go back and edit it and now go and select the correct device. This is obviously a bug in the web app that should refresh the dropdown list when selecting the “Delay for:” radio button.
Those costco leds by Freit are amazingly bright for being 9W only… so cheap!!! They dim xtra low with no flickering: perfect.
HomeDepot wants something like $39 for their knock-off equivalent can light retrofit kits.
Get’em whike they last…
