Kwikset lock default codes

I am unable to get my kwikset deadbolt to forget or overwrite the default 1-3-5-7 code. I’ve added several new codes, both through UI4 and using the program button on the lock, but that default code continues to open the bloody thing.

Codes entered using the program button on the lock show up as Code 1 and Code 2, but the 1-3-5-7 continues to work.

Suggestions?

Remove the lock from vera2, then pull out the batteries from the kwikset lock and do the reset procedure in the instructions and then re-add the lock to vera and you should be good to go.

I have done it this way before not realizing the code was reset and locked the wife out of the house. :slight_smile: Fortunately I was able to open the door remotely so she didn’t kill me.
