Did you follow the instructions for setting-up the Kira unit? Check that the IP address and port set for the plugin match exactly those set on the Kira.
Why do I have to answer the verification each time? When I post on this forum ?
It is a measure to prevent spam by bots. The verification will not be required after your fifth post.
Now I can teach codes and save them :), what the next step is to use them?
I want to pronton control lighting, I have copied lighting codes from pronton for those lamps I had to nexa systems, these should control them new lights for Z-Wave

I’m not sure if this is a question…
You can trigger scenes from received codes by picking KiraRT as the trigger device, selecting the event IR Code Received and specifying the name of the saved code.
You can send saved codes from scenes by using the Advanced scene editor. Pick KiraRT, select the SendIRCode action and specifying the name of the code you want to send.
Thanks I have done the first scenes and the work with pronton ;D
Now I want to send the codes so it becomes ir, there are buttons to mobile apps or how does it work?
I want such control my Airconditioning, it is possible in imperihome app ?

I think most mobile Apps can run Vera scenes. Another approach would be to install the MultiSwitch plugin and trigger your scenes from the buttons. You can configure MultiSwitch buttons to Pulse mode so the scene would be run each time you click the button. Most, if not all, mobile Apps support MultiSwitch.
Last weeek I bought a Harmony ultimate one and also installed the plugin for it ,works perfectly.
It is just ashame you can not use the harmony hub to control vera ( unless using triggers I understand).
Do I understand correctly , if I buy this device:
http://www.keene.co.uk/keene-ir-anywhere-ir-over-ip-module-single.html
and install the kira plugin. I will be able to use the logitech remote to controll my z-wave devices via vera?
It would be nice if I would be able to controll with a push on a button on the logitech remote to switch on-off ( dim?) lights , and controll fibaro relays.

This is exactly what the KiraRT plugin is designed to do. Once you have learned the IR codes from the Logitech Harmony (or any other IR remote), you can trigger scenes when they are received by the Kira device.
I’m trying the plugin and I have some problems. I’m able to receive IR codes and use them for scenes but I can’t make the plugin to send IR codes. The message I got is “Cannot send code!”. Debug setting doesn’t show anything. I’m able to send data just fine with the Keene Java app. When trying the test luup code (lua) “luup.call_action(?urn:dcineco-com:serviceId:KiraRT1?, “SendIRCode”, {IRCodeName=?TvOn?,Count=3 }, 34)” got only “Code failed” text ( I did learned “TvOn” command and the device id is 34 ). Spend already a few hours on this long thread and trying to figure it out myself without any luck. That’s my Kira settings http://screencast.com/t/UVjGoAVHAHa3 and configuration http://screencast.com/t/nZOixxYZ7IVf . And those are my Vera device Params http://screencast.com/t/spiqxFWnDiiB and Variables http://screencast.com/t/pmDB4Enq (bit small but I think its readable). I have the standard kira device with High power wand (also didn’t work with Std OUT transmitter) and standard external receiver.
I have the VeraEdge for two weeks and Kira for two days so sorry if it’s an easy or obvious mistake but I cant find any solution for it.
Got a KIRA device today, installed the plugin, configured everything up, and everything works great!
My initial implementation will be to trigger lights and a few devices (zwave) on demand from IR remotes in different rooms - seems like this will work great. I do have some potential ideas of migrating some other devices I currently control via a different IR->command engine, but I need to figure a few things out.
Main question is about latency…If I teach the plugin say ~150 - 200 IR commands, what is the expected scene trigger time? So far everything seems very snappy, and in some cases the IR being sent can be as many as a sequence of 10-12 different IR commands, only one of which the plugin “knows”.
Is there any way for any IR code received (not a specific one) to trigger an event, and then the IR code received accessed via lua code? If I go full on implementation I’d need to create trigger->responses for anywhere from 70-140 IR trigger → response events…that’s a lot of point and clicking in the UI! If I could handle the IR->event mapping in code that would make things way easier. Another option would be if there is a way to build scenes via flatfiles vs the UI…
Anyway, very nice work and thank you very much for your efforts. This plugin’s existence was one of the key factors for me in purchasing the Vera platform!
Update - on a whim ordered the Xantech XLIP200 as well - figured since I have a Xantech IR network, having a device that can plug right in rather doing an emitter->receiver handoff would be cleaner and easier to maintain. Configured the xantech device and it talks to the plugin just fine. One strange thing though - it didn’t recognize my previously saved codes. At first I thought things weren’t working until I did a learn command - bang worked great.
Odd, but not totally unexpected. One upside is that I had some codes that were challenging for the KIRA to learn (a Xantech code-set of generic IR codes) and the Xantech box seems to work fine with them. That makes my life easier as I was considering having to change over my IR code block for a bunch of remotes; now I don’t have to. That also keeps my safety net of backwards compatibility with my current control software.
Any easy way to clear out the IR database other than deleting the device and re-adding it?
Anyway - again, great work on this plugin, I really like it.
Anyone in the market for a 1 week old KIRA unit? ;D

First of all, thanks for your work mr RexBeckett!
i have bought the kira ir device and setting like your guide explained. i have installed your app 1.2 on my vera edge.
after restart it, i see the remote icon on the device created by the app.
i put the info of ip:port like the guide explained.
but when i try to learn i can’t make any…
i am sure that i make all the steps read on your guide but when i receive the “waiting for code…” after pushed LEARN, and naturally go with the hands on my remote and point it to Keene and pressed the power button for example (i see on kira that the flash led green go to still green so i think that the kira receive my code) i did not receive any to screen and at the end i read only “Learn timeout!”
Can you help me? i have tried with some button of remote but is the same situation every time.
i try all browser on my mac and windows, chrome, safari, firefox…
Double check the IP settings via the Kira device web UI - I had the IP wrong and had the exact same thing happen. I updated things again and things started working…
hello
i checked it again but the ip is correct i think.
i maked some screenshoots from my config under Vera and also under Kira web server.
Can you see somethings wrong?
I am going to assume that 192.168.100.251 is you Vera IP?
Do you have your Vera on a static IP address (aka it always has that address, when you are on your home network you can type in that address directly and get your Vera)?
Try putting the same address (192.168.100.251) is the field above it on the KIRA (IP Address under Target MAC), I found I had to do that to make mine work I believe, and is how mine is configured.
Finally do you have any thing special configured on your Vera, like is it in secure mode or anything like that?

Sir, you are the man!
after put the ip of my vera in the target field, the system finally learn!
thanks for all!
at this time i have only one old Sky tv remote so i am use it with Kira and learned some button from him.
the strange is that even if different, at first impact, the ir code learned for example from the button 1 of the remote and the button 2 of the same remote, and naturally saved one with ‘uno’ name and the other with ‘due’ name, when i push theme in the remote, the Kira says on vera that has received always the ‘due’ (even if push 1 ‘uno’)
