Key does not match ErgyKey: null

I thought let’s play with the energy thing in Vera Edge UI7. So I clicked the menu and a plugin is needed to install, but after that I get this message:

Key does not match ErgyKey: null

Any one?

Same here.
Any luck?

Same here…Guess no one reads these ;D

I just read this.

I thought, let’s try again. Installed the plugin again and guess what:

Key does not match ErgyKey: null

Same message for me too.

“Key does not match ErgyKey: null”

I highly recommend not enabling the Ergy plugin. It never worked correctly for me and caused my Vera Edge to execute scenes slowly and become nearly non-responsive.

For me this error only occurs using Microsoft Edge browser. Using IE11 I get an Ergy login page so whatever browser u use it might work with another.

So next problem to solve is how to log on to the Ergy page.

In online Micasa documentaiton I found this info:

" … In order to use this plugin you must register both yourself and your Vera on the ERGY website, then activate the plugin from the Vera UI by going either to the ERGY Light tab, or to the ERGY Settings tab. …" (http://docs5.mios.com/doc.php?language=1&manual=1&platform=3Lite&page=energy)

But register a new “Micasa” account at Ergy site is not possible, at the registration page I found this:

“As you may know, Micasaverde (now Vera Control) is undergoing significant upgrades in order to provide you with a better overall product. Unfortunately, during this period, the ERGY energy application is not fully operational. You will not be able to purchase premium services until the upgrade process is complete.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to work to bring you a superior energy application. For more information visit www.getvera.com or email info@getvera.com.”

No datestamp on page so it is impossible to know how long time this info has been there!
I have not yet contacted Vera support (may be I will, may be I wont).

Anyone out there that has registered an Ergy / Micasa account during past months?
Anyone actually using Ergy on Vera Edge?
Or is there any other energy monitoring plugin that actually works?

I am New to Vera edge, only had it for about 3 days now, previously used Raspberry w. Domoticz but decided to try a commercial product for easier usage. So far my experience is that Domoticz actually is easier and more robust. Its really bad that energy monitoring and statistics is not working. :frowning:

That message has been up for over a year. I think what happened is that there was insufficient interest in this product, and when the capital that was raised to start up this partnership between Ergy and Vera ran out both companies stopped putting any more work into it.

Thanks for a quick response.

I guess I have to find another way to monitor hose energy then.

Still, its really strange that Energy metering in Vera UI refers to Ergy site in their default UI. They really should come up with an out-of-the-box application Energy “tab” that works, or totally remove it and, most importantly, communicate the lack of energy metering in their UI!

Do you have any recommendation on how to monitor energy with Vera?
I’m looking for energy diagrams and energy history functions.

Here’s one: http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,31673.0.html

Or use DataMine.

My guess is that the built in link to Ergy in the Vera UI is required as part of their original contractual arrangement with Ergy and they have to keep it there, even if it doesn’t work.
