Hi, I’m new to the Veralite. I installed a Foscam FI8910W camera and it seems to operate correctly. The Veralite found it with no problems. I did not install any additional files.
Question…
I can’t seem to figure out how to set up the presets positions, how do I do that?
When I go to archived pictures I can not see the pictures. Is there something I need to do?
Can the Veralite transmit the audio that the Foscam captures?
My next cameras will be Vistacams. They seem to be the problem free way to go. I just want to use what I have for now.

If you go to the admin for the camera by typing in it’s IP
If you do it in IE then you can use the Active X control which personally I think is a lot smoother
Click on the link that says for operator
You should see on the controls a link next to presets that says SET
This will set the position of the camera to the chosen preset number in the dropdown. It doesn’t do anything to say it’s set, it just has.
If this doesn’t appear to be having the desired effect then click on For Administrator then PTZ settings and make sure disable preset isn’t ticked.
Thanks for the PTZ question. That worked. I didn’t realize that I had to go to the camera interface. Lets face it, Foscam doesn’t provide a very intuitive interface.
Any ideas on why I can’t see archived pictures?
The Foscam camera captures sound but I don’t get it on the Veralite. It’s not major but it would be icing on the cake.

Not sure what else I need to make this work, I’ve added to MAC address & command successfully sent when I click on Archive. But the issue I’m getting is when I go to my Alerts & click on download image, a circle icon appears but no picture shows up.

Make sure you are using the correct Mac Address with the Foscam. It is different for Lan and WiFi. If you have an iPad download fing and run a scan of your network to get the correct Mac Address.
From what I have been able to tell if you click the archive button on the camera on the dashboard it just takes you to the archive images for that camera. If you click the record button it will take a snapshot or if you click the wrench icon and click the archive snapshot button and it will take a picture or if you click the record video tab and then the record button it will take a snapshot.
Even though it gives the option to record video I not been able to get this to work, this would be extremely usefull if it worked.
