Hi Everyone,

Is it possible to program my DSC through my vera using Envisalink? IE: If I want to change the names of certain zones/type of zone each zone is such as motion door/window etc?

Also, one more question.

How can I make vera save my pin so I can make it auto disable by scenes or schedules?

All programming needs to be done at the panel. You can not use Vera to program the DSC panel from Vera. Vera is only able to control the panel for arming / disarming.

You will need to include the pin into your scenes. This option is not built into the plugin due to security reasons.

The Envisalink portal does allow key sequences to be sent for programming etc. I never had any luck with though and gave up.

If you want to try then log in, click on the house icon, Commands button, and then “sequence” is where you send the key presses.

One more question. Looking at UI5 I have 6 zones, randomly ranging from door to motion from what I gather. I currently have 9 zones.

Why doesn’t my vera display my zones properly as most of them are window sensors?

My ultimate goal is to use the motion sensors and have scenes trigger like when I wake up in the middle of night turn the bathroom light on 50" brightness so I’m not blinded.

If you followed the instructions correctly you have to manually enter the zones under the dsc plugin to the appropriate type. There is no auto detection.

Sorry to sound dumb, but I wasn’t able to find directions. Where can I find these please? I just googled and winged the install.

If you are referring to the second link: Many of the plugins if the developer wants to provide a means of version control are located at code.mios.com.

Also, you can use the DLS software to program (and/or backup) your DSC panel.
