Is this 433Mhz switch supported by VeraPlus

Hi… do you think that such a switch is supported by VeraPlus?
Any thoughts?

Not supported. Vera Plus does not have a 433MHz radio.

So it might be possible with sth like RFXtrx USB transceiver.

Not the VeraPlus, but look new VeraSecure does have VeraLink (WiFi) support which is 433MHz for the UK.
Any idea if you could pull it off with the VeraSecure since it looks like OP is in the UK?

You can’t buy a Vera Secure at this time,so that’s not really an option. Based on the Vera Plus’ history with WiFi, ZigBee, and Bluetooth, I’d say that there is zero chance of getting the “VeraLink” 433MHz radio to work with anything but VeraLink, whatever that is.

Edit: Continuing…

Many people have had luck with the RFXtrx devices.

But, while your thread title says 433MHz, the device you previously linked to is WiFi(2.4GHz), not 433MHz. The two frequencies and protocols are unrelated. Regardless of what radio the device uses(433MHz or WiFi) you would need to write a plugin or custom code in order to control the device form Vera, assuming that the device even exposes an interface or API. Unless you are a programmer you will likely not be able to get this device working with Vera.

Not sure about UK 433MHz but the US equivalent 345MHz, which is part of VeraSecure, will support 2GIG devices. Well at least that’s what they’ve publicly stated at CES 2017.

Wait - what? 433 mhz is the US frequency for VeraLink, right? I guess I just assumed 433 mhz was the US freq. I might actually be interested in VeraLink if it is NOT 433 mhz…

FYI. Recent VeraSecure announcement also states that VeraLink is 345MHz for the US market.

Well that is interesting. I guess I had better get out my RF Explorer spectrum analyzer and see if 345 Mhz is any cleaner than 433 Mhz in my neighborhood…

Thanks!
