Is there a "standard" carbon monoxide detector device type?

Hi,

I want to add support for the Nest Protect carbon monoxide detector to the existing Nest plugin, but I don’t see D_COSensor1.xml on my Vera. There is a subcategory for it (5), but only the D_SmokeSensor.xml/.json is present on my Vera. I would like to avoid copying the smoke sensor XML/JSON files and making a new, private device type for it and few other small edits for carbon monoxide, because this will create yet another non-standard device type in Vera, which is a hassle for the mobile app developers to recognize it.

Does anyone know if I have an alternative? I suspect not, but I thought I would ask the hive mind before proceeding.
