I am running iRule on a Galaxy Pro 8.4 on Cyanogenmod 12.1 and a Galaxy Tab S 8.4 on Android 4.4.2. The problem is with the app hanging. I am trying to press a button, nothing happens. I think I might have found a cause. When i long click to get the action bar up, on the gateway symbol is a circle going round, when i click on it all my GC-100-12 gateways are red. When I close the app and restart, its all working fine again, with the app accepting commands again and the gateway symbol green. Sometimes I can see the action bar gateway symbol going yellow, then green again without me doing anything. Sometimes the gateway does go green again after waiting a few seconds. My GC-100-12 is hardwired into my network, which is running fine without any issues. These hanging issues happen quite frequently, which makes using the app very awkward. I have contacted iRule support but have not received any response.
If you are using the Vera module in iRule, this is a problem. Their module is not good and I reported it 1 year ago. They still do not have it working so I just don’t use it.
On UI7 … the Forwarding servers require the credentials to be re-validated occasionally. I think it’s like every 24 hours … but I do not know for sure.
The proper protocol is to revalidate your credentials if you get an error … sounds like they only validate credentials on APP startup.
I have not made the jump to UI7 yet, I am still on UI5. And yes the Vera module sucks… but I need it as some of my AV stuff is on appliance modules, and I don’t want to use 2 remotes. The scenes work ok ish…
