I have a ceiling fan set in reverse (via a physical switch on the fan) in the Winter in my family room that I want to come on every 15 minutes and recirculate the air for 3 minutes. I have a Leviton VRF01-1LX fan controller paired with a Vera2 (UI2, .996 firmware). I set up a scene where I have the timer set for 15 minute intervals and the command to set the ceiling fan at 25% and after 3 minutes turn the fan off. Sounds simple. I start the scene and everything works great for 2 or 3 intervals and then after that the fan comes on and does not turn off. Has anyone else experienced problems with the command “after so many minutes/hours, change the state of the device to off, etc”? I noticed the same problem on my WD thermostat where I have a scene that includes a command to turn off the heat after 4 hours in the morning and it looks like the command is not always executing at hour 4 and hence the furnace stays on all day (AAARRRGGHH!!!). Is this a bug (perhaps fixed in UI4) or is it pilot error on my part?
It is possible the your Vera is rebooting itself at that magical four hour point, and thus loosing the fan off timer.
Have your tried creating a second scene that turns off the fan, ant set it to go off three minutes after the first scene?

Thank you, this at least confirms that there seems to be some kind of systemic problem with commands that set to fire after a certain time period.
I agree setting a 2nd scene would be the solution, but I’m not sure how you can set-up a separate scene that turns off the ceiling fan 3 minutes after the first scene starts the ceiling fan considering I want to do this in 15 minute intervals.
