I’m using a few Duewi.me switches; these are the ones with the newer firmware and purportedly support status push (instant status updates to Vera) and group associations with other devices. I use both features, having one Duewi switch trigger a scene in Vera using status push, and another switch associated to a second one so that turning on one light also turns on the other.
This works as advertised… for about a day. After a while, the switches no longer instantly push their status to Vera; the scene gets triggered only when Vera gets around to poll the status, or if I push the Duewi switch 3 times (which sends an instant status update to Vera). When I use the other Duewi switch, the second light switch associated with it no longer changes state either. If I remove power from the Duewi switches for a moment using the circuit breaker, the status push and group association functions are restored again, at least for a while.
Has anyone seen similar behaviour, or better yet, have a fix?
What are theese switches, I never heard of them, could you post a link?
On the other hand, this sounds like a problem in the firmware of the switches. what does düwi say about your problem? Unless powering off and on also sends an info frame like pushing 3 times I would say the switch itsself is the cause of the problem.
Just my 2 Ct.

Here’s the manufacturer’s site: http://www.duewi.de/index.php?productid=37240
I’ve been in touch with the supplier (via my Z-wave stockist); they seem committed to fixing this issue. They have been able to reproduce the problem; at the moment it appears that this is indeed a firmware issue, caused by a buffer overflow that happens in larger Z-wave networks. Hopefully there will be a fix forthcoming; my stockist should be able to update the firmware in my switches.
hmm, I cannot find any new products on their website. Everything I see is there for years…
Try these guys: http://en.z-wave.me/ It looks like they make the newer firmware for the Duewi switches. I think these are the guys doing the debugging as well.
UPDATE: A few weeks ago my stockist sent me 3 Duewi switches with new firmware to test. I have these things running in my network for 2 weeks, and so far both state push and associations work just fine. According to the manufacturer, the problem occurred only in larger networks, and was caused by a buffer overflow in the Zensys SDK.
