Intermatic CA9000

Does anyone know if the Intermatic works with any of the Vera’s.

Doesn’t look like it:

thanks that’s what I thought -was just hoping for a different answer. by the way it has screw up vera2 the ethernet light just sits there blinking. i did not even try it on vera1 because of reading the form. I have had this thing for about 5 months i guess it can become a light weight paper weight. :frowning:

pressed the reset I can now talk to vera2 but ethernet light is now out!!! weird.

all my 6 (and they are my first since i bought a 7-piece kit) zwave devices are intermatic; 2 lamp modules, 2 screw type light modules, and 2 outdoor modules - they all work fine with my vera2. i am planning to try devices from a different manufacturer, maybe GE.

I think that it is just this Intermatic device CA9000 motion dector.

Trying to get the CA9000 to work with U14 ? Needless to say I can’t get it to work, yet it’s listed on the Compatible hardware as working via association bu not events? Can any walk me through the steps as I have spen countless hours trying to get one set up using associations and it just seem to loop forever?

For what it’s worth, the new Vera firmware upgrade combined with the zwave upgrade has apparently made the ca9000 start to work as intended. I have a scene setup to turn on 2 lights in my basement when the alarm sensor is tripped. I just received my sensor tonight and fiddled with it for a couple of hours with no luck. I ran across the upgrade beta while I was searching for how to configure the sensor. I noticed that they had made significant improvements in the beta firmware updates, so I decided to go ahead and apply those. I followed the links supplied from the micasverde forum (http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php?topic=6335.0)…and voila the motion sensor events started firing off the scenes as they should have been doing from the start. So it appears that the article regarding the “limited functionality” of the ca9000 http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Supported_Hardware#Sensors is now obsolete. Yay for micasaverde! Thanks guys! Oh - it also corrected the looping issue as well, no more hanging up the entire system like it had been pre-patch.

I ordered 2 of these today, glad they work. At $20 each, these are almost as cheap as the old X10 eagle eyes. The X10 sensors were not great, I hope these work better.

So may I inquire where you located them for $20.00??

Thanks

Automated Outlet. They show $29 until I logged in, then they’re $20 (plus shipping).
