Intermatic CA5100

Does anyone know how to use Vera to program a scene for the Intermatic CA5100?

Using: UnitModel:Vera1 Version:1.0.989

You need to create two scenes. One for the on button and one for the off button.
When creating the scene:

Device is the Intermatic on/off scene controller.

The event type should be ‘A scene is activated’ for both the on and off scene.

For the scene number use:
The down (off) button on the scene controller sends a 0 (scene) command
The up (on) button sends a 255 command.

Command: should be the Z-wave device(s) you are trying to control.

Good luck

Thank you for the update, if I ever get one of those it will help. It also may help people in general for similar scene control products.

Is it possible to directly associate the CA5100 with a couple HA02 appliance modules? I have it working with scenes, but I would like to eliminate the delay. I tried re-adding the CA5100 like you do with the remotes (HA07, HA09) but that doesn’t seem to do it.

The HA02C Appliance Module is not capable of associations :frowning:

I guess I don’t really understand the association thing, why is it that the HA07 and HA09 can directly control these appliance modules, but the in wall control won’t?

Thanks!

but CA5100 is capable of association

I have a CA5100 and 3 HA03 modules and I ran the association with vera1 UI4 with no problem, so now the CA5100 controls the HA03 s (on/off only, didn’t get the raise/lower to work) directly

which is different from the vera scene method described here:
