Integration with Vera3 via SOAP/XML/MQ/HTTP

I am trying to integrate rules that I have built in another system with Vera and have Vera send commands to my connected devices based commands coming from this other system. Has anyone used SOAP or any other protocol to power on any of your devices or run scenes in Vera?

Vera has it’s own api which details can be found on the wiki at wiki.micasaverde.com. The api calls are via http.
