Insteon Powerlinc 2413U will not successfully add to vera plus

the Vera plus gets hung up when you try and add the Insteon Powerlinc 2413U modem. The UI7 indicates it fails, upper screen shows please wait, but box becomes non accessible. The only way to recover is to unplug the insteon powerlinc modem from the Vera Plus USB port, unplug power for roughly 5 minutes, then the unit reboots and normalizes. Once normalized and logged in, the device indicates INSTEON: NO INSTEON. I plug the insteon device back into the USB port on the Vera plus. Device operates properly, but when I click on insteon settings, the port has nothin listed. If you remove the instead interface, sometimes is does do that, but when you go back through the same setup, the device gets hung once again after it indicates that adding the PLM has failed.

Please advise

I’m having the same problem. Also Wi-Fi on my plus is not working . Vera has tried but can’t fix it yet. Nice to buy a new product to find its does not do what it sold as. No answers yet from Vera.

Same problem here. I was told by support that a new firmware was to be released last week (2/28) that will fix it but still no update.

I have the same problem. Purchased this unit in USA and pay a large amount of importation tax to have it in my hands in Rio de Janeiro Brazil to be able to better control my insteon network and the veraplus is not able to do what we are supposing to do. Waiting news from VeraPlus support team. Marcos Silva

Vera Plus users,

Hi. I also struggled with the native 2314U support. I could not get the Plus unit to communicate with my Insteon PLM.

I migrated over from a Lite. On my Lite, I had a successful implementation of Altsteon 0.08 running. It worked FLAWLESSLY with the exception of my battery powered Insteon devices battery level. I have multiple Insteon leak sensors, plugin smart switches, door sensors, LED bulbs, etc. All of them work without fail but ONLY with the Altsteon service running. Note: You must use a program like WinSCP to connect directly to your Plus unit after much configuration. This certainly is not a project for the weak. I had to reference multiple sources of documentation as well as tinker until I got it to work. I could walk anyone through.

Just a few notes, You do NOT simultaneously enable the native Insteon implementation along with adding the altsteon daemon to auto-start. Simply leave it off in Insteon Settings. Anyone who picked up a ton of penny on the dollar clearance Insteon starter kits from Walmart like did might have more questions. Ask.

I’d like to add my Insteon devices to my Vera Edge. They all work well with the Insteon Hub now and include cams, relays, leak sensors and a thermostat. I’ve got the PLM 2413U and tried to add it to the VeraEdge but all I got is the “Insteon: No Insteon” message in the blue bar. I can’t really tell if its added or in a problem mode. Any suggestions for next steps?
