Installed Foscam IP Camera App but Foscam doesn't show in camera type drop down

I’m new to the vera lite and have been trying to add my Foscam cameras. If I use “other IP camera” option i can get the image to show but i can’t control the PTZ or motion detect. Seems like my plugin isn’t working the way it should be. Am i missing something? is the plug in only working in the background and not in the camera setup?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You must load the file in impl_file: I_FoscamPTZ.xml and use the Foscam app. Don’t forget the port number in ip:. 10.0.0.2:8091 where colon 8091 should be changed to your port number.

Sorry for being such a noob. But when you say load the file in impl_file do you mean in advanced setting and using that xml in the impl_file?
Also what do you mean by use the Foscam app? when i go into details of the foscam app and press create device it doesn’t do anything.

Hi,

my Foscam 9821 has not worked on I_FoscamPTZ.xml and as “Other camera”.
I have installed it again in UI7 as “VistaCamHD (other usr/pwd)” and manually changed IP, URL, StreamingURL, VideoURLs and file.
File: I_Foscam98HD.xml

And it is working now (including tilt) although speed… there is no speed :slight_smile:
