ImperiHome - Import and Export are failing on my Nexus 6, 7, and 9

I am using ImperiHome 2.8.1 (Apr 29, 2016) version. And, lately on some devices I can no longer import or export the json file. On export I get the following error:

Error writing config json to SDCard

If I try to import, The ImperiHome Conf Import opens up. But it just hangs there with nothing displayed except the logo and the text ImperiHome Conf Import in the title bar. It hangs there forever until I back out of it.

Has anyone else seen this problem? I have been using the import and export functions for well over a year to install the json files on multiple tablets and phones.

Weird… I don’t think I’ve ever seen the import function on my tablets. I export to a file, then send to myself in outlook (or other email client). I then open up the mail client on the new tablet, and just click/open the json file… it automatically imports in as it opens Imperihome. Might try that.

Thanks for the suggestion. I figured out the problem. It turned out only to be a permissions problem. The app had no access to storage. Thus, it could not read or write to the device. I enabled access in the App Info (Storage) and now it works!
