If devices don't work on a Veralite does that mean it will not work on a Vera 3?

I now have both units on hand both with the same firmware. Vera 3 is fresh out of the box. Bought the Vera 3 on impulse with the hope to resolve some issues I have with Vera 3. Is it safe to assume that if it doesn’t work on one it won’t work on the other?

Depends on why it doesn’t work, but they both use the same firmware and both have the same z-wave radio… So it’s safe to say that if your device is not supported on the lite it won’t be supported on the 3.

Now if you have other issues why a device doesn’t work (besides not being supported) then it’s possible.

Problem I have is most likely due to firmware issues.

  1. Aeon door sensor doesn’t properly report
  2. Enerwave ZWN-BPC motion sensor doesn’t trip

Well then you’ll have the same problem on either VERA if the above is really firmware issues.

LOL you’re following me around…

Maybe downgrade to UI5 on the Vera 3 would fix it?

I don’t know which Aeon door sensor you have but it looks like both of those issues will probley go away if you went to ui5.

You have a spare vera I would say go for it.
