I recently mounted a ID Lock with Z wave chip, this is a new doorlock on the market. The only problem is that it’s draining battery way too fast, they only lasts for a few weeks. I’m guessing this has to do with the ‘wake up’ time wich is known to burn battery if its to frequent. I can not find this parameter anywhere, From what I understand increasing the polling time ain’t going to help me.
Can anyone help me, or have some good suggestions?
Yes for me to, but the lock responds immediately after sending commands to it, so then I guess it has to be be a FLiRS(Frequently Listening Routing Slaves) device?
The way I see it the polling is sent from Vera, and does not have anything to do with the actually time the lock is awake or sleep.
Differently from other battery devices that has to be awake to get updates from vera or send status to it, the lock seems always to be awake…
Hi! I’m sorry I’m not sure, it’s been a while… The lock did function with some error messages, but it seemed like it was using a great amount of energy contacting vera constantly. Do you have the same problem with the same lock?
If you under Device settings set the Automatically configure to No, you will stop the battery drainage. However, I have not succeeded in getting the PIN code settings to work. I can only do this from the lock itself - and only one master code and one user code. Not that great.
I am like many other Vera users extremely disappointed in the efforts to add support for new devices.
