Hello – I just installed CM9 Ice Cream Sandwich, and can’t seem to figure out how to get the scene shortcuts on one of my homescreens. I hope this feature is still available in CM9 – is it?
Installing ADW over the default “Trebuchet” launcher did the trick.
Glad you figured it out. I haven’t tried CM9 ICS yet, but here’s how you would do it in stock ICS:

Thanks for the video. The Trebuchet (love the clever name) Launcher is pretty good, but scrolling through all the widgets to find Home Buddy can be very cumbersome.
