iControl i-Camera 1000 Set-Up as IP Cam and Motion Sensor?

First off - thank you everyone in advance! I’m an absolute newbie to home automation so please bear with me…

I have a series of iControl i-Camera 1000’s that were previously used for Xfinity Home. After a factory reset, setting a static IP, etc. - they work great so far with the Vera3 as a generic wireless IP camera.

My question for the gurus, however, relates to softward-aided motion sensing capabilities of these cameras. Using a 3rd party software like iSpy - I’m able to create zones of interest which trigger alerts. Short of hacking my way through luup - is there any way to dual purpose the same camera as both an IP cam and a motion sensor?

Did you ever figure this out? I would also like to use IP camera as a motion sensor.
