After placing an order March 10th 2011 and receiving an email order confirmation that stated:
“Please allow up to 24 hours for your order to be processed. Order processing usually occurs on business days. We will process your order and deliver your package using UPS within 3-5 business days.
Once your package has been shipped you will receive an e-mail with your UPS Tracking Label Number number which can be tracked via the UPS website”
Weeks go by, no order update, no “UPS Tracking Label Number” .
It’s now April.

Final email to them yesterday 7-14-11 telling them to cancel the order and I will be leaving negative comments about my experience.
Reply 7-14-11 (2hrs later) “units were returnerd to us. Could not deliver, order cancelled.
We will have our legal dept monitor message boards about negative comments.”
They have a legal department? :o Why would they need a legal department ???
They are having their legal dept monitor message boards?
But they cant or wont have the shipping dept send me a tracking #?
I’ll be replying to their email asking them to send me the tracking # or proof of the “Could not deliver” and I’ll check it against UPS records. I’ll also include a link to this post where they can respond here if they choose.
not sure why you feel the need to post this after that much time has passed. was it because i and others had a good experience, so you felt the need to bash this guy again?
not sure why you were treated the way you were, but i see no reason why you would be singled out in particular… ive ordered from this site more than once and everything was fine, completely normal transactions.
what did you order?
noticing i never got a tracking number either… but the stuff showed up!
I’ve ordered a few times from them with no problems, however on one occasion I ordered something that was an obvious pricing mistake, and they just cancelled the order with no explanation email.
I guess to some degree we are spoiled by the excellent service and communication provided by the likes of Jay and Barry etc!
Reply from their “Sales Team” 7-14-11 (2hrs later) “units were returnerd to us. Could not deliver, order cancelled.

Posted my customer experience 7-15-11.
I’m not sure why you feel that 24hrs was too much time.
In today’s economy it’s hard enough getting new business, and when companies take your business for granted, it’s time to move the business some place else.
Zwaveproducts is a drop ship supplier for TigerDirect.com, we have a corporate account with TigerDirect and I sent an email to our account rep stating we would be taking our business elsewhere unless they use another Z-Wave supplier. I don’t expect them to change vendors, but by the same token they should not expect further orders from me.
Wow. No wonder I haven’t received my order yet. I got the same UPS tracking link in my “Order Confirmation” email earlier this month. The UPS page is blank. i’m still waiting. I’m sure their lawyers are working on it. :P.
Watch out with those zwaveproducts.com people. They don’t have their act together and you may regret doing business with them. They sent me two used (1 already burnt up) Cooper dimmer switches. When I contacted Cooper Wiring they told me they quit doing business with that company because of several similar complaints. They never ended up sending me what I ordered, though they did send me other z-wave devices.
I have been pretty lucky with them as well I guess - ordered 3 or 4 times without any major issues. They did mess up my first order with them (sent me the wrong quantity), but were quick to send me the right order after one email to them. It seems like a hit or miss with these guys - but some of the stuff that they have after coupons are “really cheap” especially the Intermatic (HomeSettings) modules etc.
I guess these mix of experiences fall under YMMV (you mileage may vary), it depends on what your order, when you order it, and what mood the lawyers are in.
With online retailers like zwaveproducts there are no lawyers, no inventory, no staff, no brick and motor building, no support, and no chance in hell that you are going to get amazing prices AND amazing service. If anyone did, it is because they hit the perfect storm of timing and got the products shipped before the retailer got overwhelmed with orders during a sale. They inventory nothing and drop ship everything not unlike those late night commercials SMC with Tom Bosley. You’ll notice some of your boxes actually came from Worthington Distribution, Tiger Direct, and others.
Another issue with these “companies” is that they are pricing this stuff like a nickel over cost. I mean they had to answer the phone or write something down for the order, they at least deserve to make a traditional markup. I know with the Z-Wave motorized shade controllers there recently had to be a Minimum Advertised Price set by the manufacturer (go you have to click to see real price, or see price in cart) because the price these guys are offering is well below what we can sell them at. We can’t sell the controllers that low as a shade fabricator, we have a little thing called overhead we have deal with (no overhead in your living room).
These guys should’ve stayed on eBay where they were easier to spot for what they actually are…a guy in his living room.
