Does anyone have any Hue light strips installed outdoors? I have 2 Hue bulbs that I use for garage lights outside that work fine and two on my patio, but I wasn’t sure if the light strips would be able to survive exposed to rain. I have some empty planters that I can fill with clear glass mulch, I thought it would look cool to put the light strips under the clear mulch.
I dont think Hue are waterproof but there are plenty of options for similar strips which are waterproof.
Do they integrate with Vera and change colors? Do you have any links to these other options?
Use standard waterproof RGB or RGBW strips with a Fibaro RGB module. I have them under the eaves of the roof (not actually in the rain) and they are great.
The strips are cheaply bought on ebay.
Out of interest what is the dimming like using the fibaro module ?. I’ve found the hue light strip has something of a jump from lowest dim to off and would be nice to have something with a little more liner level control.

Thanks Slartibartfast!
Do you mean something like this for the lights?
and this for Fibaro module?
Do the strips plug directly into the Fibaro?
