i am feeling terribly frustrated…with the new UI5 upgrade, all my 4 sensors stopped working and the temperature control of my house is going mad - i am not able to keep reasonable temperatures since the sensors were used to control all my (electric) heating…
Precisely, the sensors don’t wake up any more. i tried to set all possible parameters, restored to factory settings the vera2, healed an infinite number of times, excluded the sensors and included them again…
nothing to do, all 4 sensors don’t wake up and the temperature reported is the one following the manual reset (the blue button). Yes batteries are fresh new.
Of course, it was working perfectly with UI4…up to the moment in installed UI5.
I tried to contact MicasaVerde without any answer…MCV, are you there?
Anybody experiencing the same issues? How can i go back to UI4?
Thanks a lot, indeed I’ve been through it in details. However, the sensor was working correctly with 3.20 - so i didn’t see a reason to move back to 2.78
…but i will give it a try, since i tried almost every other possibility…
The two 3in1 ezmotion sensors I have in my network also show that strange behavior: They don’t seem to wake up anymore. I also have to push the blue buttons from time to time so that they wake up again and send some data.
I have just finshed downgrading and they work perfectly again. One thing I noticed whilst running UI5 and dosome test there was a lot of both Lua and Network activity which causes the polloing to be delayed. I have 5 sensor doing different activities and UI5 just not viable at the moment.
Yes, at first they were working ok but then very slow or non-existent response. My test was to set up a scene to trigger a light and then I monitor the system activity and log files. Sometimes I had responses and other times not so great. The sensor were physically picking up movent but not being reflected in Vera and I would put this down to the other issues with memory and network activity running all the time. The actual CPU usage was very low just no memory to play with. Others have noticed a significant delay even with Vera 3. UI4 instant response!
In my case the motion sensor is still working, its actual state is reliably sent to the vera. Only the temperature and light level reading don’t get updated.
One more user to add to the list >:(
I cannot get the Light and Temperature sensors of EZMotion 3-in-1 control to update the values on the U15 interface without manually pressing the blue reset button on EZ motion. I have a Vera 2. The issue is reproduceable by turning out the lights in the room and seeing no change in the light reading or moving the sensor into a colder room. I have successfully got the Motion sensor to turn on and off a light - this gives me confidence the sensor works. I have set the warmup time to the default 1800 but tried lower values. Would like a promise date from MCV for resolution
For your information, i was contacted by the service and support of micasaverde apologizing and explaining that they’re going to look into it. I want to report it here since we don’t have a solution yet for UI5, but the fact that micasaverde is active on it is a sign of good will. let’s hope their effort will materialize soon. I a back to UI4 waiting for news.
It’s not available yet I guess. Even though I’d like to try 1.5.276 I still think that is the way it should be, first test then release. That’s what they should have done with the first release of UI5. I read In multiple posts that a public update can be expected this week…
I can tell you right now 1.5.276 does not fix the 3-in-1 issue. From what I can tell, my 3-in-1 child device’s light and temperature are still not functioning.
