How to trigger alarm for events originated from non-powermax sensors

I have PowerMax+ connected to Vera2 using the Visonic PowerMax Plugin. I am planning to get a zwave motion sensor (in place of visonic motion sensor) and intend to use motion event generated by it to trigger alarm when Powermax is armed. is that possible to do using this plugin? if yes, how?

There is no way (that we know of) to trigger an alarm via the serial link. So the plugin cannot generate an alarm. You would have to use a z-wave switch connected to a wired zone of the alarm panel or an MCT-302.

Interesting. Is it possible to update/change configuration (add/remove) of zones?

In that case on could use one of the wired zones and have this “closed”. When an z-wave alarm happens the zone gets included and an alarm is triggered.

But I guess including/excluding zones must be done from the panel itself…

I did try it with no success. They didn’t take this scenario into account when developing the FW :P. When you make the change on the panel itself and exit the menu it works. But not via the serial command - it doesn’t parse the new config/state.
