How to run a scene between certain time of the day.

2 questions:

So I am new to vera and setting up scenes. I have a Veralite and have set up a scene which will tune on a couple of lights when the front door is opened.

  1. The problem is the lights turn on all the time when in actuality it is only use full when it is dark so say sunset to sun rise.

I have searched the forums however I have not found something similar to this yet. or I don’t know what I am doing.

I am thinking it needs a Luup code but I am not sure on how to write the code. any ideas?

  1. Is there a how to on configuring Lupp codes so I can figure this out in the future so I don’t have to bother the forum?

please have a look at the “Conditional Scene Execution: Some Examples” post, in the top of this board, you will find some useful luup examples that you may use in your scenes.

You could always install PLEG and use the Day/Night Plugin. PLEG is great!!!
