How to pair Aeon Multisensor 6 in 1 with vera?

Hi All,

I recently bought Vera Edge. So for Initial testing a bought AEON Multisensor 6 (zw100-c) along with the Hub. But this sensor is not included in the device list.

 1. Could anyone help me how to pair AEON Multisensor 6 (zw100-c)?
 2. And also how to check the Firmware version in both the Hub and the sensor? Thanks.

Update: I went through the below process several times. When I would change the Generic I/O device, data from the other sensors wouldn’t show up in vera or imperihome. After unpairing and repairing the sensor several times I gave up and went to sleep. When I went to sleep only the motion sensor seemed to work. When I woke up vera and imperihome were displaying data for the other sensors. I definitely wouldn’t recommend starting with this sensor.

I’m currently attempting to pair a Multisensor 6 without much luck. I’ve been able to get the temp, lux, and humididty to show up but seem to be missing something on the motion sensor. I have about 10 zwave devices and an android tablet running imperihome and this sensor is the only one to have me scratching my head (I’m sure I am missing something super obvious though). I’m using vera lite with UI7

I found this online.

1. Bring the MultiSensor close to your hub and add it to your Vera choosing the 4-in-1 sensor as device type and single-clicking on the action button. It will come up as a "D_GenericIO1" device. You may have to exclude it first (simply send an unpairing command from your Vera and click on the MultiSensor?s action button - read more here).
 1. Once the device is included, please wait for all children nodes to show up. Then press the action button quickly 3 times to put the device in the wake up mode. DO NOT hold the action button. The LED indicator on the sensor should blink - do not press anything else on the sensor at this point.

 2. Select the new device, then click on Advanced.

 3. Go to the Params tab and make the following changes:

 • device_type: urn:schemas-micasaverde-com:device:MotionSensor:1

 • device_file: D_MotionSensor1.xml

 • device_json: D_MotionSensor1.json

 1. Wait for the led indicator on the MultiSensor to stop blinking. Do not press anything on the device until the process is completed.

 2. Put the sensor in the wake-up mode again and send the ?Configure Node Now? command from your Vera.

 3. Once the device is configured (the LED indicator will stop blinking), restart your Vera.

Have a look in the motion section of the forum. There is a long thread with explanation on how to do it

Thanks. The other thread under motion sensors didn’t show up when I searched for Multisensor. I found some more good info in the thread.
…Now set these parameter settings after a finished inclusion of the Multisensor 6.

 1. Go to Device Options under the motion node

Add parameter 3 [2 byte dec]: 30
Parameter 4 [1 byte dec]: 5

 1. Save it

…and then I configured the following to make the sensor show the correct icon in the UI:
category_num: 4
subcategory_num: 3

Hope this helps…
I made a screen cast of pairing the multi sensor 6 with vera lite in UI7. hope it helps someone.
