How to pair a Schlage FE599 lock with VeraLite

I thought I would post this info from Magda at Tech Support in the hopes it will help someone else.
This is for a Schlage FE599 NX handle lock

Please make sure that you are doing the pairing process from maximum 3 feet and also the maximum distance between the door lock and the Vera unit (indoor) after the inclusion process, should be 25 feet.

First you will need to exclude the Schlage door lock from the Vera unit:

  1. Bring the door lock close to the Vera Lite or get the Vera Lite unit to the door lock using just a power cord

  2. Put Vera in exclude by pressing once ?-? button (the z-wave light in front of the unit should start flashing fast), or follow the steps on the user interface: Devices>Add devices > Other devices → Other z-wave device → Next → Next → Retry, you should see the following message at the to of the screen ?Add/Remove : Remove devices now??

  3. Enter the 6-digit programming code, wait for three lights and three beeps,

  4. Press the [Schlage] button followed by 0. And you should see that the Z-wave light will flutter (meaning that the device have been excluded)

Now, please follow the next steps in order to include the Schlage door lock to the Vera Lite unit :

  1. Put Vera in include mode by pressing once ?+? button (the z-wave light in front of the unit should start flashing slowly ? 1 time per second), or follow the steps on the user interface: Devices>Add devices > Other devices → Other z-wave device → Next → Next

  2. Enter the 6-digit programming code, wait for three lights and three beeps,

  3. Press the [Schlage] button followed by 0. Now you should see that the Z-wave light from the Vera Lite unit that will flutter (meaning that the device have been included)

  4. After the Z-wave light (orange) is flashing slowly again, press and hold the ?+? for 5 seconds and then 1 more time, just tap it once and you should see the Z-wave light (orange) going off and solid after a few moments.

  5. Once the z-wave light is solid, let the Vera unit close to the Schlage door lock for 3-5 minutes and after that you can move the Vera unit back to it?s place and you should be able to see the Schlage Door Lock properly configured on the Vera?s Web Interface.
