How to find and delete my device 63?

I constantly get this error in the to of my screen:

System error : Device: 63. Fail to load implementation file D_VSwitch.xml

As new user I tried to start with PLEG, saw a Youtube video where someone used virtual switches.
I tried to add a virtual switch, without success. I only see a Multiswitch app no Virtual Switch app. I read something to add them manually, I tried so, but the virtual switch didn’t appear in my devices.

But it seems this error is related to the switch.

How can I delete this device?

And then, how can I create a virtual Switch?
I read multiple threads, but all seem to be outdated, none of the are working on my Vera Plus UI7 latest firmware.

The VritualSwitch plugin has been removed by its author. You may use MultiSwitch instead (same thing, just more switches!)

To remove the device, you can use your browser, as documented here: http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Luup_Requests#device

http://ip_address/port_3480/data_request?id=device&action=delete&device=63

Thank you, it is hard to keep track on what is and what isn’t working if you search the forum 5 years back.

I will give it a try, thanks!

You are not joking!

If only there was some really good documentation…

Yes, most things tend to work just as I don’t expect. It reminds me at getting used to Tasker for Android:-)
But if you know how, the possibilities are endlessly.

That explains why that file was missing when I updated the firmware a couple of weeks ago. I did not realize it was also withdrawn.

Hi Akbooer & Don Phillips,

VirtualSwitch plugin is not withdrawn. I just installed it on my 2nd VeraPlus from the Appstore and ik works fine. When I read the message of Akbooer I thought shit… because it’s a very useful plugin that I use for several years already on my other Vera.

Well, it wasn’t listed when I searched the app store.
That’s why I started this thread.
Is it back or didn’t I search for the right name?

Well, my mistake, I apologise.

It must be a by-product of being here too long. I think it went at some stage, but I don’t recall it returning.

…or maybe it was something else entirely!

Just search on Virtual[/quote]

The official name is Virtual ON/OFF Switches

Found it, thanks!

Whew - I have lots of VS’s. +1 to Mai Pensato.
